What's included
- Courses: 12 records and 4 fields. One course with a per-enrollment USD fee.
- Sessions: 36 records and 4 fields. One delivery session.
- Enrollments: 427 records and 4 fields. One synthetic enrollment. No student identity is included.
Recommended analysis
- Which sessions have unused capacity?
- How much fee value is unpaid?
- Do attendance and payment completion differ?
- Which subjects fill more of their available places?
How to work with the data
Use the following relationships to connect the source tables:
- Sessions.course_id → Courses.course_id
- Enrollments.session_id → Sessions.session_id
Check the row grain before joining. Aggregate repeated child records to the required level before combining totals, so parent amounts are not counted more than once.
You can explore the workbook in Excel or Jolene.pro, or use the CSV files with SQL, Power BI and other analysis tools.
Definitions and assumptions
- All sessions occur by September 30. Each enrollment owes one listed course fee. No discounts or refunds are modeled.
- payment_amount is cash recorded by September 30. A zero means no payment.
Use the field definitions and nullable-column guidance in the included data dictionary. Interpret blank values and reporting dates according to the scenario notes.
