What's included
- Clinics: 8 records and 3 fields. One fictional clinic.
- Sessions: 160 records and 5 fields. One bookable clinic session.
- Appointments: 1,265 records and 4 fields. One appointment slot reservation. No patient identifier or clinical data is included.
Recommended analysis
- Which clinics have unused appointment capacity?
- What is the no-show share among non-cancelled appointments?
- How does attendance vary by session period?
- Why does listed appointment value differ from collected revenue?
How to work with the data
Use the following relationships to connect the source tables:
- Sessions.clinic_id → Clinics.clinic_id
- Appointments.session_id → Sessions.session_id
Check the row grain before joining. Aggregate repeated child records to the required level before combining totals, so parent amounts are not counted more than once.
You can explore the workbook in Excel or Jolene.pro, or use the CSV files with SQL, Power BI and other analysis tools.
Definitions and assumptions
- Appointments are final reservation records, not a booking history. Cancelled reservations do not represent occupied capacity at session time.
- No clinical outcomes, patient data or actual collections are supplied.
Use the field definitions and nullable-column guidance in the included data dictionary. Interpret blank values and reporting dates according to the scenario notes.
